This is an introductory level interactive half-day workshop aimed at anyone with HR responsibilities but who are not HR specialists.

By the end of the morning, the attendees will have a better understanding of some of the common but tricky situations that senior managers may encounter. In particular:

  • Understand basic employment and employer responsibilities;
  • discuss some of the most challenging issues for managers and explore what we mean by conduct, capability and coming to work;
  • understand how to differentiate between conduct and capability – and specifically how to manage a fair exit process;
  • addressing challenging/complex people issues including difficult behavior.

This is the first of two half-day HR workshops aimed at Managers with HR responsibilities but no HR experience.

The second workshop will be held on Tuesday 14 June and further details on how to join are available here. Participants may attend both courses or choose the most applicable.
