This half day workshop (29/1/14) and afternoon follow up session (11/2/14) will use acting and voice techniques to hone communication and presentation skills. Participants will gain a tool-kit of proven techniques to increase performance capabilities when presenting for live audiences. This seminar will be working on presentation delivery, not content.
This seminar is perfect for participants who already have good presentation skills but would like to boost their confidence and take it to the next level.
During the half day seminar participants will:
- Explore the relationship of posture and breathing for clear, confident communication and increased vocal power
- Use pitch, pace and pause to maintain the attention of your audience
- Use actor training techniques to bring presentations alive
- Implement articulation exercises for accuracy in speaking
- Explore key techniques for personal impact Increase influence & rapport
- Develop audience relationship through effective presence and status
During the follow up sessions participants will deliver their 2-3 minute 'elevator pitch' to the group and receive feedback and advice from the facilitator and other participants.
This seminar will be faciliated by Lucinda Worlock
With an MA in Voice Studies from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Lucinda is a Voice, Communication, Presentation and Dialect Coach and professional actor. Lucinda provides specialist training for actors, business professionals and English speakers of other languages. Lucinda is an in-house Voice and Communication trainer at Central in Central Connects leading courses for diverse business organisations. She has worked with politicians, lawyers, doctors, teachers, bankers and journalists; and provided training for clients such as Actis, Coca-Cola, GALLUP, HMRC, Ingeus, NACUE, NHS, The European Commission as well as employees of BNP Paribas, Goldman-Sachs. She has also trained actors at a number of drama schools including The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Italia Conti, East 15, Rose Bruford, The Drama Centre, Birmingham School of Acting, ALRA and MTA.
