Torah L'Am: Torah for Everyone
An innovative course in talking Torah and a great opportunity to learn to present your organisational mission in the context of Torah
Created by Dr Raphael Zarum, Dean of London School of Jewish Studies
Taught by Maureen Kendler, Teaching Fellow and Lead Tutor (Academic Programmes) at LSJS
Torah L’Am is the game-changing crash course, that teaches people how to study Torah and empowers them to pass on what they have learnt to others. The course uncovers the multileveled thematic structure of the entire Torah, which enables people to learn how to study and talk Torah with their families, friends, colleagues and within their communities.
Over the six week course you will learn Torah from eight different perspectives, present key questions that you can ask about any Torah text to help you make sense of it and give you a method for preparing a Torah talk in four straightforward steps.
- Learn to present your organisational mission in the context of Torah
- Present Torah ideas in the home, classroom, Synagogue or boardroom
- No tricks; no shortcuts; no one-liners; just good quality Torah all the way
The course is perfect for anyone who would like to learn or improve their approach to presenting Torah and wishes to gain the confidence to represent their cause or organisation from the perspective of the week’s Torah reading or recent festival.
The course will be held on the dates below from 3pm-5pm. Spaces are limited and attendees must ideally commit to attending all the sessions.
