Do you struggle to have your charity’s campaigns picked up by the press? Would you like to increase the media profile of your Cause? Then join us on 3 June for a one day workshop on Working with the Media: Writing Press Releases & Pitching to Journalists. During the day you will explore the issues that you may face with press coverage and learn what will get your stories picked up by the press as well as how to structure a press release and when best to use one. The second part of the day will focus on pitching to Journalists – what do they want to hear and how to convince them that this is the story they are looking for.
The training will be delivered in partnership with the Media Trust. With 20 years of successfully creating communications solutions for charities and communities for social good and work, they are the UK’s leading Communications Charity. The training will be delivered by an experienced media and charity professional and will combine one-to-one feedback, coaching and group training to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to ensure they can successfully generate media coverage.
